We had my daughters 13th birthday at United Skates. Bridget was our party host she did a great job. She was attentive and had a great personality. The skate rink played amazing music during the hip hop session. The rink was clean and safe. We had a great time. Highly recommend using them for your next party or open skate.
We had a birthday party for our twins here and it was absolutely phenomenal. Bridget & William were our party planners/hosts; they were fabulous. They took care of all our needs. All the kids had a fantastic time. I would definitely recommend United Skates for a party or even a family outing. It's just unfortunate I can only give 5 stars; the team at United Skates deserve significantly more.
Pros: looks clean and newly renovated.
Cons: * credit card fees aka $1.80 (processing fee)
* Spectator Fee (outrageous) $5.00
* $20 per person for skate and rental
Total for two kids $47.60
I’m fine paying the skating and rental fee but it’s extremely petty charging customers credit card and “SPECTATOR,” fees. Very disappointing to say the least. I will think twice about returning here. They may win short term but will ultimately lose customers in the long run.
Place looks very nice inside and clean. The wall decor is really cool and fun. Kids had a great time skating. A bit pricey. Felt it was unfair to charge for the skate helper thing and also the fee for being a spectator. Other then that I have nothing bad to say. Staff is friendly.
The place is totally groovy!!! We've been coming since we were kids! The redo of the place is super groovy!!!!!! There's room for parties.it's very kid friendly. We really enjoyed having our family holiday party there. The staff was pleasant, friendly and accommodating! Thank you Bridget for all the fun activities and music!!!

The food is terrible. Everything seems like it is microwaved and it is expensive (which is expected). Beware, the fries are seasoned even though the menu does not say so. You cannot even bring in your own water. The new look is great but they took away part of the rink for parties. The admission price is higher and there is a spectator fee for those not skating. It is still a fun place but plan on paying more and eating elsewhere.
I would have to disagree with managers who help. While filling out the 17 question waver, nothing new for a roller rink, however this one was only accessible by smart phone or a tablet provided by the rink. This of course made the line to enter wrap around the building. But I didn't mind waiting.
Jackson roller magic, the establishment prior had a monthly or season pass, as to avoid such problems.
And the old female grey haired manager spoke to me like I was her kid. Barked at me, down my throat even as if my question disgusted her. Not to mention allowed a man behind me to cut the line in front, and hold the whole show up as it was his first time skating, oh wait he wasn't even skating anyway. One of the parents walking around in shoes on the rink because his kid can't skate. Perhaps pick a different babysitting activity. Again this is no surprise when corporations give authority to women who aren't fit. But what gives that woman the right to speak to me that way when paying $14 to enter. There is your problem and why so many rinks close. Treat your patrons like paying customers and don't get off speaking to people that way
Rest of the staff was kind and courteous. The problem clearly falls on the management.
Downhill from when it was the Jackson Skating rink. You used to have a lot more freedom choosing or switching skates. Also as someone who is disabled and unable to do anything but spend money in the place, I have to pay a spectator fee? But I can’t leave my kids alone there (8 & 10)? This makes no sense. Overall enjoy my $50 because it’s the last time we are coming here.
No gluten free or allergy options either if your kids have special needs. Make sure they eat beforehand because they no longer accommodate!!
